Antique Victorian Solid Silver English Lever Pocket Watch by J. G. Graves - 1902 - good condition working and serviced,
The solid silver case is in good condition with no bad scratches dents or staining, it does have some pocket wear, small marks and 2/3 small dents
The back has an engine turned design with a vacant cartouche in the middle - most of the engine turning has worn away over time, around the out side of the case is a coined edging.
Push the button down on top of the crown and the back will open with help. On the inside back cover is the lion for 0.925 silver, a Chester hallmark, and a date letter for 1902 with the case makers mark T. P. H, and there is also an inscribed name.
You can wind the watch up at this point with the key supplied, open the front cover, push the button in at the bottom of the dial and the movement will swing open. There is a dust cover on the movement which is in very good condition - take it off to get to the movement. The movement looks very clean and is working well.
It is key wound and set, with a Lever escapement, jewels and a full plate with a patterned balance cock with a ruby end stone. Push the movement back down and it clicks back into place as it should.
The dial is white enamel with black Roman numerals, and a sub second dial at 6 o'clock with The Express English Lever J. G. GRAVES Sheffield. It has no chips or staining.
The hands are in great condition and working well, with the key supplied which can wind and set the hands as it should. The watch will run the full length of it's wind and keeps very good time.
It is 52.4mm in diameter without the crown & the hinges are in very good condition and working well. The glass is also in very good condition.
