Antique World War I Hallmarked Stirling Silver Scottish granite fouled anchor sweetheart brooch - 1916
The ships name HMS Parker on the front. The brooch has been slightly bent at some point in time.

The anchor is a classic Victorian love symbol with the anchor meaning steadfastness and the fouling wire meaning entwined forever.

The stones are beautiful pink granite sections from Kemney in Aberdeenshire.

The brooch has a full set of hallmarks with makers JC&S, the lion for sterling silver, the anchor for Birmingham assay office and date letter r for 1916.
The length is 3.3 cm ( one and a third inches ) and the pin and C clasp are in good working condition and original.
