A fantastic print of the Canberra,one of the greatest ships ever built in Britain, on her return to Southampton from the Falklands. In the bottom left corner of print is the signature of Capt.D.J.Scott-Mason R.D.R.N.R. Canberra. After that,the words.."BRITANNIA RULES" Christopher B Dee, with the inscription 'Best wishes from Christopher Dee the Falklands Marine artist 1982. Next to that is inscribed..Rear Admiral J.F. Woodward RN Flag Officer 1st Flotilla Falklands Task Force, followed by his signature. Print measures approximately 25¼" x 18½".
Also included with this print are three documents...
One which describes a little of the life of Christopher Dee (Falklands Artist).
A signed document from Ian Alterman (Agent for Christopher Dee), and relates to the print of the Canberra and its value.
The final one is a document with three signatures...Sir Rex Hunt,Commissioner of the Falkland Islands,followed by Margaret Thatcher, then Jeremy Moore (Major General J.J. Moore.
