A small ruby coloured bound edition of the book of common prayer printed by J. & C. F. Clay at the University Press, Cambridge.
Measuring 7 cm by 10 cm, this book was present to a Lilian Gregson by "Father Christmas" in commemoration of the coronation of King Edward VII on June 26th 1902.
Note the actual coronation was later due to ill-health of the incumbent.
The first two pages have come adrift from the binding on one side but are still intact, as have pages 45 to 56.
Considering it is 115 years old this appears to be in overall good condition.
The first few pages have yellowed, but the remainder of the pages are bright and easily readable.
The gilding on the front and spine have faded, but are just visible - "Common Prayer" on the spine and June 26 1902 on the front with the ER crest.
