Antique Victorian Vesta Case and Stamp Box Combination as a Miniature Purse - Edward J. Hauck's - 1883
It is clearly marked with the makers Edward J. Hauck's Patent Aug 14 83 for 1883 and it is engraved 'Postage Stamps'.
It has a clasp on the top with a hinged lid and inside is a separate stamp compartment and storage space for matches.
It is made from white metal and the base is rough for striking the matches.
It is in excellent condition with no dents and the lid is good and tight.
It measures 45mm (1.75") x 25mm (1") by 8mm (0.25") deep.
