Vintage Hallmarked Silver Open Face Swiss Pocket Watch - 1919 - George Stockwell - London
This lovely Swiss pocket watch has a London Import Hallmark "D" (1919) 0.925 silver, the case is in very good condition no dents or scratches, with very light pocket wear, the hinges and catches are good so the covers open and close nicely.
It has a brand new mineral glass fitted. The lovely pure white porcelain dial is very good with no chips, stains or visible hairlines, It has blued spear and whip hands with black Roman numerals with outer minute track and a sub seconds dial at 6- o'clock
The watch measures 49 mm across x 16 mm deep.
The Makers Mark is-- G.S. GS George Stockwell
George Stockwell's company Stockwell & Co were recorded in June 1907 as importers of silver (e.g. dressing table sets, watches, Georg Jensen silver) of Finsbury Street, London.
It has a 3/4 plate, Swiss going barrel movement Signed 'SYREN'. with Swiss lever escapement is running very well and keeping good time.
