Antique - Edward VII Chester Hallmarked Silver English Pocket Watch - 1909 - With a Key
This lovely English solid silver open face pocket watch No. 842485 has a Chester Hallmark - "j" = (1909) 0.925 silver.
The case is in very good condition with no dings or scratches. The hinges and catches are good - the covers open and close perfectly. It has a little pocket wear which is expected. The glass is very good. The lovely pure white ceramic dial signed - Improved Patent English Lever, and is very good with no stains, scratches or visible hairlines.
It has golden spear and whip hands and black Roman numerals with outer minute track and a sub dial at 6 o'clock.
The watch measures 55 mm across.
The Makers Mark is-- G.S.B. For-- George Stephen Burt. Watch Manufacturer of Warrington Road, Prescot, Lancashire. Registered 1906.
It has a full plate 7 jewel barrel English movement No. 848485. and with English lever escapement - running well and keeping reasonable good time.
