A charming figure of a comical Pheasant called Phineas from the Country Gentlemen collection, made at the Monastery, Cinque Ports Pottery at Rye. It's a bit concerning what he has sticking out of the top of his bag, a pair of shoes! The base is marked as shown in the last photograph, has a gold label marked 'The Monastery', other marks can be seen at the bottom of his jacket. No box or paperwork.
In very good condition, no nips, chips, cracks or repairs. White marks are caused by light.
Measures 7¼"(18½cms) in height, and 2½" (6¼cms) by 4" (10cms) approximately across the base area
