Elizabeth II & The Duke of Edinburgh's 65th Wedding Anniversary we are delighted to bring you an exclusive colourway of our original Queen Bride Figurine. Limited to only 750 of the original 7,500 edition, the young bride is captured to perfection in our beautiful, exclusive figurine. Princess Elizabeth and Lieutenant Philip Mountbatten were married at Westminster Abbey on 20 November 1947, in a wedding dress which was designed by Norman Hartnell. He visualised a bridal gown of fine pearl embroidery in a floral design and cited Botticelli's painting of Primavera as his inspiration, which was alive with flowers and breathing the promise of rebirth and growth after the long winter of the war. The rich ivory dress of duchesse satin contrasted with the small white seed pearls which were imported from America, silver thread, sparkling crystals and transparent applique tulle embroidery. Attached at the shoulders was a magnificent 13-foot silk tulle full court train, embroidered in pearl, crystal and applique duchesse satin- the whole design was completed by a silk tulle veil. In her hands she held her bridal bouquet made up of white orchids and a sprig of myrtle from the bush grown from the myrtle in Queen Victoria's wedding bouquet Handcrafted in fine bone china and hand painted in Stoke on Trent the Queen Bride has been finished in a beautiful lustre, features a sparkling platinum tiara and a stunning bouquet of individually handmade flowers.
