Antique Victorian Fusee Solid Silver Pocket Watch - W Bradshaw, Blackburn - 1844
It is in very good condition and working well.
The solid silver case is in very good condition commensurate with age - it has no bad scratches, dents or staining. The back is an engine turned design with a disc in the middle.
The inside back cover shows the Lion for 925 silver, a Chester hallmark, a date letter for 1844 and the case markers mark W.L
It is key wound and set with a fusee cone which is chain driven - with a lever escapement, a full plate with a patterned balance cock. There is a diamond end stone, on the balance cock is patent, the movement is signed by W. Bradshaw Blackburn.
The dial is an off white with black Roman numerals - it has no chips, hairlines or staining. The key suppled will wind and set the hands. The watch will run the full length of it's wind and keeps good time.
Measurements - watch is 45.7mm in diameter without the neck, and 16mm thick with the glass.
All of the hinges are in good condition and working well. The glass is also in very good condition with little wear or marks on it
