Antique Edwardian period circa 1910 Rolled Gold 'Keepsake' Picture/Photograph Locket
In good used antique condition
An oval design, the locket features a plain rolled gold frame, and is finished with a threaded screw cap lug crown and rung bale for threading with a ribbon, chain or string - to serve for when wearing about the neck.
To open the lock, simply unscrew the lug at the bale to access interior for installing desired image or keepsake, perhaps a lock of hair or dainty love note or similar - currently there is a period photograph of a young man, hand coloured and tinted to one side, and to the other the photograph of a Baby (no doubt the gentleman's off-spring).
When laid flat on a surface it measures 3.5 cm in length (including bale) and has a body width and length of 1.8 cm and 2.5 cm respectively, the storage compartment to the locket has a depth of roughly 3.5 mm.
