Bound in full black leather binding with embossed brass clasps and edging. With stunning gilt decoration to both boards, and gilt lettering to the second spine panel/compartment.The page fore edges are gilt edged.


Containing many full page tissue guarded colour plates, and a completely unused family register. Sections to register are childrens names - marriages - deaths - and finally four colour plates of portrait gallery.


With very large dimensions to the bible of 13.5 inches x 10 inches x 3.5 inches thick. It weighs approximately 6kg.



Binding: Generally in very good condition, with only minor wear and tear present to extremities. Both boards are firmly attached with no splitting or weakness to inner or outer hinges, and the gilt decoration is still very bright, prominent, and un-faded. Contents: Some occasional spots of minor foxing here and there, but generally clean and bright throughout. Plates still have tissue guards to protect them. Text block firm and secure with no missing, detached, or loose pages or plates.
