Vintage Solid Silver H. Samuel Pocket Watch - 1922
The solid silver case is in good to very good condition, with no bad scratches dents or staining. The pocket wear is commensurate with age.
The back has an engine turned design with a vacant cartouche in the middle, some of the engine turning has worn away over time.
Open the back and on the inside back cover is a 0.925 silver stamp, a London import mark a dated for 1922, and a case makers mark H.S. The dust cover over the movement is in very good condition.
It has Acme Lever Exposed winding wheels, non magnetic Warranted. When open it has the same silver hallmarks on it. The movement is missing it's dust cover - but the movement looks very clean and it's working well. It has a crown and stem with 11 jewels, a Lever escapement with a 3/4 plate, and a ruby end stone on the balance cock.
The dial is white enamel with black Roman numerals, and a sub second dial at 6 o'clock. On the top is " Acme Lever " H. Samuel Manchester. There is no chips, hairlines or staining - it's just in great condition.
The crown winds and sets the hands, and the watch will run the full length of it's wind - keeping very good time.
Measurements - 51.2mm in diameter with out the crown and 17.2mm thick with the glass.
All of the hinges are in very good condition and working well. The glass is also in very good condition with very little wear or marks on it.
