Antique Victorian Solid Silver Pocket Watch - The Express English Lever - Sheffield - JG Graves - 1899 - Serviced

Very good condition - working well and serviced.
The solid silver case is in very good condition - with no bad scratches, dents or staining. It has some pocket wear. The back has an engine turned design with a vacant cartouche, some of the engine turning has worn away over time. Around the outside of the case is a coined edging - all good. Push the button down on top of the neck and the back will spring open. On the inside back cover is the lion for 0.925 silver, a date letter for 1899, and a case makers mark J. G. G. S. The watch can be wound up at this point with the key supplied, open the front cover push the button in at the bottom of the dial and the movement will swing open. There is a dust cover on the movement which is in very good condition, take it off to get to the movement. The movement looks very clean, and is working well. It is key wound and set, with an English lever escapement, a full plate with a patterned balance cock, and a ruby end stone. Push the movement back down and it clicks back into place.
The dial is white enamel, with black roman numerals and a sub second dial at 6 o'clock. At the top is The "Express" English Lever J. G. Graves Sheffield. It has no hairlines or staining, and just one very, very small chip on the very edge at 1 - not seen when the front cover is closed. The dial is in very good condition, all the hands are in great condition and working well.
Measurements - 52.5mm in diameter with out the neck and 20mm thick with the glass.
The hinges are in very good condition and working well. The glass is in very good condition with very little wear or marks on it.
